Local renovation company helps homeowners after they were ripped off by bad contractors

RenovationFind.com provides homeowners with a free listing of online, fully-certified, home improvement contractors. They got in the business of certifying and monitoring companies after hearing so many horror stories about homeowners getting ripped off by shady contractors. RenovationFind wanted to protect homeowners, and ensure the good contractors were getting promoted. I wrote this story about the Pryatels, a local couple who were twice duped by bad contractors during the renovation of their home. Unfortunately, Len Pryatel suffered a major stroke and required an extensive accessibility renovation to be able to return home safely from the hospital. The contractor they hired left them with shoddy work and a lot of work unfinished. The second contractor took their deposit and disappeared. After hearing their story, a local contractor 4 O.A.K. Construction decided they wanted to help. Not only did he take on the renovation project and do an outstanding job for the Pryatels, but he and his trades partners donated thousands of dollars worth of materials and labour.
